Gluten-free deserves a better reputation.
Meet The Baker
I grew up in a baking household, learning how to bake from my dad, who learned how to bake from his mom. I was known around the Town for always having homemade baked goods at my birthday parties and other celebration milestones.
In 2013, I adapted to a gluten-free lifestyle for health reasons, but my sweet tooth never went away. I was frustrated with going to events and not having “something sweet” to end the night with, thus the birth of Butter Brown Bakehouse. Initially established in the Bay Area in 2016, I’m now based in Washington, DC, baking up the best cookies Chocolate City has ever tasted.
Butter Brown Bakehouse crafts gluten-free cookies full of flavor, love, and soul. My mission is to change the perception of gluten-free baked goods by baking desserts with a down-home taste inspired by the delicacies grandma used to make.
Ironically, many of my fans have no gluten allergy or are unaware of what it is. They just know a good cookie when they taste one; those who are gluten-sensitive love that there are options that are dangerously delicious, yet not a danger to their diet.
I'm excited for my cookies to be a part of whatever magic moment you’re sweetly savoring.
With Love, Bre.

Gluten-Free
Always gluten-free, all the time. I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) at 15 and live a strict gluten-free diet to stay healthy.
I’m passionate about creating cookies that give traditional baked goods a run for their honey. #GlutenFreeGoodAF
Good AF
If it makes your toes tingle, tantalizes your taste buds, and you're willing to ruin a relationship over the last bite, it's good food.
I take my time to craft sweet confections that are guaranteed to leave you craving for more.
Good for The People
Partnering with people that love people is what I do.
